Do I need a permit, and who pulls it?
Most kitchen and bath remodels in Connecticut need a building permit, and anything touching plumbing or electrical definitely does. We pull every permit and meet the inspector ourselves. The cost is listed as a line item on your estimate, never a surprise.
How long will my project take?
A full bathroom runs three to five weeks. A kitchen runs six to ten. Flooring is usually two to four days a floor, painting one to three days a room. Your estimate carries a real start and finish date, and if something moves it, you hear it from Gino the day it happens.
Can we stay in the house during the work?
Almost always, yes. We seal the work area with plastic, run floor protection through the walking paths, and keep at least one bathroom live. For a kitchen we'll help you set up a temporary spot with the fridge and microwave before demo day.
How does payment work?
A deposit to hold the date and order materials, progress payments tied to milestones you can see, and the final payment only after the walkthrough punch list is closed out. Everything is spelled out in the contract before you sign. We never ask for the full amount up front.
What's the warranty?
Two years on our workmanship, plus whatever the manufacturer covers on materials and appliances. If something we installed fails, call Gino and he comes back. We're not going anywhere - this is his hometown.
What happens to the mess?
We sweep and haul out debris at the end of every day, and there's a dumpster or trailer on site for anything big. Final cleaning - floors, windows, fixtures wiped down - is included before the walkthrough.
